All articles in this issue constitute an integral part of the scholarly focus of Halaqah: Journal of Multidisciplinary Islamic Studies, a journal managed by the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Sekolah Tinggi Islam Kendal and oriented toward strengthening the Islamic intellectual tradition through conceptual and textual approaches. This issue presents a collection of eight scholarly articles that predominantly explore Islamic education studies, including character building, the transformation and modernization of educational institutions, maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah–based educational management, Islamic education from the era of the Prophet to the Khulafā’ al-Rāshidūn, as well as innovations in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning media. In addition, this issue is complemented by studies on the Qur’an, developed through methodological analyses of orientalist perspectives on Sūrah al-Fātiḥah and the application of the munāsabah (inter-verse coherence) approach in addressing contemporary moral and psychological issues. This publication features contributions from 14 authors affiliated with various Islamic higher education institutions across Indonesia, collectively representing diverse academic backgrounds and reinforcing the multidisciplinary character in the development of Islamic scholarly discourse.
