Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to Halaqah: Journal of Multidisciplinary Islamic Studies must comply with the following technical requirements:

  1. Articles must be either conceptual papers or research-based studies within the scope of Islamic studies, including: Islamic Studies, Islamic Law, Islamic Economics, Islamic Communication and Da’wah, Islamic History, Islamic Traditions, Sufism, Theology, and Qur’anic Exegesis (Tafsir).
  2. The manuscript must be an original work and must not have been previously published in any other academic publication or book.
  3. The manuscript must follow the official template of Halaqah: Journal of Multidisciplinary Islamic Studies, which can be accessed through the provided link.
  4. Articles must be written in standard Indonesian or academic English, using Book Antiqua font size 11, with 1.5 line spacing on A4 paper, and submitted via the Online Submission system. The length of the article should be between 4,000–7,000 words. Manuscripts must be submitted no later than one month prior to the publication schedule.
  5. Each article must include abstracts in both Indonesian and English (200–250 words each), followed by keywords.
  6. The author’s name (without academic titles or positions) must be clearly stated, along with correspondence address, email address, and institutional affiliation.
  7. References must follow the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th Edition (full note format), using reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero.
  8. The manuscript must include a minimum of 30 references, primarily from sources published within the last 5–10 years.
  9. The maximum similarity index (plagiarism level) is 25%
