Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to Istifkar: Media Transformasi Pendidikan must comply with the following technical requirements: The article must fall within the journal’s scope, including: Islamic Education Studies, Islamic Education Curriculum, Islamic Education Evaluation, Educational Psychology, Philosophy of Education, Teaching and Learning Methods, Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School) Education Studies, and Madrasah Education Studies.

  1. The manuscript must be an original work and has not been previously published in any other academic journal or edited volume.
  2. The article should be written in standard Indonesian or academic English, formatted with 1.5 line spacing on A4 paper, and submitted through the Online Submission system.
  3. Manuscripts must be submitted no later than one month prior to the journal’s publication schedule.
  4. Each submission must include an abstract in both Indonesian and English (200–250 words each), followed by 3–6 keywords for each abstract.
  5. The author’s name (without academic titles or positions) must be clearly stated, along with correspondence address, email address, and institutional affiliation.
  6. The article length should be between 4,000–7,000 words, with a maximum of 20 pages including figures and tables.
  7. The maximum allowed similarity index (plagiarism) is 25%.
  8. References must follow the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th Edition (Full Note format), and authors are required to use reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero.
