Istifkar: Media Transformasi Pendidikan is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The journal follows internationally recognized ethical guidelines and expects all parties involved in the publication process including authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers to adhere to ethical principles that ensure the integrity, quality, and credibility of scholarly publications.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original works and have not been published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere. All sources, data, and references used in the manuscript must be properly acknowledged. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the content and must avoid plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and any form of unethical research practice.

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant scholarly contributions to the research. All co authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission. Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the interpretation of the research findings.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based solely on the scholarly merit, originality, significance, and relevance of submitted manuscripts. Editors shall evaluate manuscripts without discrimination regarding race, gender, nationality, religious belief, institutional affiliation, or political philosophy.

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and ensure a fair, unbiased, and timely peer-review process. Editors should take appropriate action when ethical concerns or allegations of misconduct arise.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers contribute to editorial decisions through objective and constructive evaluations of manuscripts. Reviews should be conducted professionally, fairly, and within the agreed review period.

Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not use unpublished materials for personal advantage. Any potential conflict of interest should be disclosed to the editor, and reviewers should decline assignments when such conflicts exist.

Research Integrity and Academic Misconduct

The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, or any other form of academic misconduct. Submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism-detection software. Manuscripts found to violate ethical standards will be rejected, and published articles may be corrected or retracted when necessary.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any financial, institutional, professional, or personal relationships that could influence their judgment or create a potential conflict of interest in the publication process.

Corrections and Retractions

When significant errors, ethical violations, or research misconduct are identified in published articles, the journal will take appropriate action, including publishing corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in accordance with established scholarly publishing standards.

Ethical Oversight

Research involving human participants, personal data, or other sensitive subjects should comply with relevant ethical standards and regulations. Authors are expected to obtain necessary approvals and informed consent where applicable and to provide evidence upon request.

Complaints and Appeals

Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions or submit complaints regarding editorial or review processes. All complaints and appeals will be handled fairly, transparently, and in accordance with the journal’s ethical policies.
