This study examines Qur’anic literacy by analyzing Qur’anic verses related to qirā’ah (reading) and kitābah (writing), as well as the views of contemporary exegetes. The research aims to identify the principles of Qur’anic literacy and analyze differences in interpretation among contemporary scholars. The method used is library research with a thematic exegesis approach. The findings show that Qur’anic literacy encompasses epistemological, ethical, and spiritual dimensions oriented toward the development of faith consciousness and responsibility in knowledge management. Seven main principles of Qur’anic literacy are identified, namely spiritual orientation (bismirabbik), critical attitude toward information, accountability, patience, justice and transparency, honesty, and dignity. Differences among contemporary exegetes reflect diverse interpretative approaches, ranging from textual, contextual, to historical perspectives. Qur’anic literacy is understood as a framework that connects revelation, reason, and social reality in shaping individuals and society based on divine values.
