Aqwal Journal of Quran and Hadith Studies (P-ISSN: 2774-7980, E-ISSN: 2986-4585) is a double peer-reviewed journal, open-access journal published biannualiy (Juni and Desember) by Ilmu Al-Qur’an and Hadith Program, Faculty Ushuluddin, Adab and Da’wah, K.H Abdurrahman Wahid State Islamic University Pekalongan since 2020. Journal dedicated to publishing original research articles and literature reviews in the fields of Quranic and Hadith studies. The journal is committed to advancing scholarship on the Quran and Hadith by providing a platform for academics, researchers, and scholars to share their findings and insights. Aqwal welcomes submissions from scholars worldwide and seeks to foster dialogue and the exchange of ideas across diverse academic traditions.
Aqwal aims to Serve as a forum for academic discussion and exchange on Quranic and Hadith studies across traditional and multidisciplinary approaches. Highlight the relevance of Quranic and Hadith studies in addressing contemporary issues such as gender, environmental challenges, and cultural dynamics. Promote original and innovative research that bridges traditional scholarship and modern academic methods. Provide a medium for scholars to explore Quranic and Hadith studies within both local wisdom traditions and broader global contexts. The journal covers a wide range of topics related to Quranic and Hadith studies, including but not limited to:
Linguistic Studies: Semantic analysis, semiotics, stylistics, qira’at, and nadham.
Philosophical Perspectives: Hermeneutics and interpretative methodologies.
Interdisciplinary Approaches: Local wisdom, environmental ethics, gender studies, and contemporary societal issues.
Regional and Global Contexts: Exploration of Quranic and Hadith studies in Asia and other regions, examining their relevance in local and global challenges.

Aqwal invites students, scholars and researchers to contribute the result of their studies and researches. This Journal is aims to Quranic and Hadith studies which covers original research and literatur review with various focus of linguistic (semantic, semiotic, stilistic qiroaat, nadhom), philosophy (hermeneutic), local wisdom studies, environment, gender, and others.
This journal, serving as a forum for the study of Quranic and Hadith in Indonesian Context and other parts of the world within its local and challenging global context, supports focused Hadith studies of particular theme and multidisciplinary studies. Al-Aqwal has become a medium of exchange of ideas and research findings from various traditions.
